About Us

The All-Ukrainian charitable foundation, “The Coalition of HIV-Service Organizations” (Coalition) is a non-governmental not-for-profit organization that consolidates 84 organizations from 25 regions of Ukraine that work in the field of harm reduction, primary and secondary HIV prevention, and care and support for people living with HIV.

The Mission of the Coalition – strengthening and scaling up of the participation of NGOs, associations and networks in providing reproductive healthcare (RH) services, HIV prevention and care for HIV/AIDS patients, and overcoming the HIV/AIDS pandemic, tuberculosis (TB) and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in Ukraine. The Coalition’s activity is directed toward coordination of the efforts of HIV-service organizations in Ukraine, capacity building and representation of their interests as well as implementing new technologies using best practices, and collaboration with international agencies and governmental organizations.

The Coalition represents Ukraine’s non-governmental organizations in the National Council on the issues of prevention and spread of HIV/AIDS. The Coalition avows its intention to promote openness and transparency, and playing an active part in the process of the HIV/AIDS policy formation and implementation. The Coalition was founded in March 2004 in response to the necessity to strengthen the role of the civil society in overcoming the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
